Groups, Workshops and Talks

There are a number of local groups where it is possible to share your passion with like minded people. I’m a member of Bristol Quilters, Westbury Park Quilters and the Westbury Embroidery Group. In addition I am a member of Westbury on Trym Country market and my craft is regularly on sale there. I am on the Committee for the Westbury on Trym Village Show which is a lovely event every September to see some of the produce produced by local people.

I enjoy attending a workshop & learning something new and running workshops and seeing the amazing results of other peoples work.

If you arrange the venue and attendees I’m happy to come in to your group and run a workshop of give a talk.

I provide all of the materials. All my courses are designed so that you leave with a finished product (I personally don’t like adding to my pile of UFOs). I usually have extra kits available so you can make more of the items under your own steam when you get home. I also provide printed instructions to follow during the workshop but I give further verbal instructions and demonstrations throughout. I pace the workshop to ensure it suits both the experienced and inexperienced crafter and can have a range of abilities in the same group. For this reason I limit the number of attendees to 12 and this ensures everyone gets my attention when they need it.

Options include Box Making (Drawer or Etui), Miniature Teddybears, Christmas Tree Decorations and jewellery. In fact I can run a course on anything you see on this site.

Here are the results of a few workshops I’ve run.
